The air fryer has quickly become my go to tool for getting dinner on the table without any fuss. I love how these chicken breasts turn out golden on the outside while staying tender and juicy on the inside, making them a perfect addition to salads, wraps, or grain bowls.

To get the best results, remember to pound your chicken to an even thickness so it cooks through perfectly. If you have a few extra minutes, soaking the chicken in a simple saltwater brine will make a huge difference in the moisture, but even without it, you will have a delicious meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

7Instructions

  1. 1

Pound the chicken breasts with a meat mallet until they are an even thickness throughout.

  2. 2

Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and brush both sides with olive oil.

  3. 3

In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper together.

  4. 4

Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken.

  5. 5

Place the chicken into your air fryer basket in a single layer.

  6. 6

Cook at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.

  7. 7

Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Tips

Store any leftover chicken in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To keep it moist when reheating, add a tiny splash of water or broth before popping it back in the air fryer or microwave. This chicken is wonderful sliced cold over a fresh garden salad for lunch the next day.
