This dip is my go to recipe whenever fall rolls around. It combines the tangy flavor of a classic cheesecake with a rich caramel swirl that everyone at a party will love. I personally like to make it when we come home from apple picking because it is the perfect way to use up those crisp, fresh apples.

Since this is made completely from scratch, it has a much better texture than store bought versions. My biggest tip is to make sure your cream cheese is completely softened before you start mixing. It makes all the difference in getting a perfectly smooth and dippable consistency.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 4 crisp apples, sliced for serving

6Instructions

  1. 1

Place the softened cream cheese into a medium mixing bowl.

  2. 2

Use an electric hand mixer to beat the cream cheese until it is smooth and creamy.

  3. 3

Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the bowl, then mix on medium speed until everything is well combined.

  4. 4

Transfer the cream cheese mixture to a serving bowl and smooth out the top with a spoon.

  5. 5

Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top of the dip.

  6. 6

Serve immediately with fresh apple slices for dipping.

Tips

Store any leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To keep your apple slices from turning brown, you can toss them in a little bit of lemon juice or pineapple juice before serving.
