enzo81.xyzThis chocolate caramel pecan tart is a total crowd pleaser that feels fancy but is actually quite simple to put together. Everyone loves how the bittersweet chocolate balances out the sweet caramel, and that toasted pecan crunch is just the best part of every single bite.
Since this recipe sets in the fridge, it is a great choice if you need to prepare dessert a day in advance. A light sprinkle of sea salt right before serving really makes the flavors pop.

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar

- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate
- 1 1/2 cups pecans, toasted
- Flaky sea salt for garnish
7Instructions
- 1
Mix the flour, cocoa powder, butter, sugar, and egg together until a dough forms, then press it evenly into a tart pan.
- 2
Bake the crust at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes and let it cool completely.
- 3
Heat the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until it turns a nice amber color, then carefully stir in the cream and butter until smooth.
- 4
Remove the caramel from the heat and stir in the chopped chocolate until everything is melted and glossy.

Fold the toasted pecans into the chocolate caramel mixture and pour the filling into the cooled tart crust.
- 6
Refrigerate the tart for at least 3 hours or until the filling is firm enough to slice.
- 7
Sprinkle with a little flaky sea salt right before you serve it.
Tips
Store your leftover tart in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. If you want an extra touch of luxury, serve each slice with a dollop of fresh whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
