These bar nuts are a total crowd pleaser and a great way to use up any random nuts sitting in your pantry. They have the perfect balance of salty, sweet, and a tiny bit of warmth from the cayenne pepper. I love serving these when friends come over for drinks because they always disappear in minutes.

My top tip is to make sure you use fresh rosemary for the best flavor. Also, be sure to chop the rosemary very finely so it sticks to every single nut and pretzel for maximum tastiness in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsalted roasted mixed nuts
  • 1 cup mini pretzels
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dark brown muscovado sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt flakes

7Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. 2

Spread the mixed nuts and mini pretzels out on a baking sheet.

  3. 3

Roast them in the oven for 10 minutes until they are lightly browned and fragrant.

  4. 4

While the nuts roast, mix the melted butter, finely chopped rosemary, cayenne pepper, sugar, and salt flakes together in a large bowl.

  5. 5

Once the nuts are hot, remove them from the oven and pour them immediately into the bowl with the butter mixture.

  6. 6

Toss everything well with a spatula until the nuts and pretzels are evenly coated in the buttery rosemary glaze.

  7. 7

Serve them warm or let them cool to room temperature before snacking.

Tips

Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. If they lose their crunch, you can toast them in the oven for a few minutes to freshen them up.
