There is something special about a warm, bubbly dip shared among friends. This spinach artichoke dip is a classic for a reason because it is incredibly simple to make and tastes much better than anything store bought.

My secret to the best texture is making sure you drain the spinach well. If you leave too much water in the greens, the dip can turn out a little thin, so give it a good squeeze with a paper towel before you mix it in.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Baguette slices or tortilla chips for serving

7Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, parmesan, and half of the mozzarella cheese.

  3. 3

Stir in the chopped artichoke hearts, the squeezed spinach, minced garlic, and black pepper until everything is well combined.

  4. 4

Spread the mixture evenly into a small baking dish.

  5. 5

Top the dip with the remaining mozzarella cheese.

  6. 6

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are lightly golden brown.

  7. 7

Let it sit for five minutes before serving so the sauce can thicken slightly.

Tips

Serve this dip hot with toasted baguette slices or sturdy corn tortilla chips. If you have leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days and reheat in the oven or microwave.
