Easy Lazy Lasagna Bake
Get all the cozy flavor of a classic lasagna without the hassle of layering noodles.
enzo81.xyzWhen you crave comfort food but do not have the time to assemble a traditional lasagna, this dish is your best friend. It has all the savory meat, creamy cheese, and rich sauce you love, but it comes together much faster since we use broken pieces of noodles right in the pan.
My biggest tip for this one is to make sure you use a deep baking dish. Since everything is mixed together, it can bubble up quite a bit in the oven, so placing a tray underneath on the bottom rack will save you from having to scrub your oven later.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound Italian sausage
- 1 jar of your favorite marinara sauce
- 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
9Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2
Brown the ground beef and Italian sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
- 3
Stir the marinara sauce and oregano into the meat mixture and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- 4
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the broken noodle pieces for about 6 minutes, just until they are al dente. Drain them well.
- 5
In a bowl, combine the cooked noodles, the meat sauce, and the ricotta cheese. Stir gently to combine.
- 6
Pour the mixture into a 9 by 13 inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- 7
Top everything with the shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
- 8
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the cheese is melted and the edges are bubbling.
- 9
Let the dish rest for 10 minutes before serving so the sauce can set.
Tips
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can reheat individual portions in the microwave or cover the dish with foil and warm it in the oven at 350 degrees until heated through. Serve this with a side of garlic bread or a crisp green salad.
