There is something truly special about a cookie that has a little bit of everything in it. These monster cookies are a favorite in my house because they are hearty, chewy, and perfectly sweet. They are the ultimate treat when you want a cookie that really fills you up.

My best tip for these is to let the dough chill in the fridge for about thirty minutes before you scoop them onto the baking sheet. It helps keep the cookies from spreading too much and gives you a much better texture in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup M&M candies

7Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter, softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is smooth.

  3. 3

Add the eggs and vanilla extract, beating well until everything is combined.

  4. 4

Stir in the salt and baking soda, then fold in the oats, chocolate chips, and M&Ms until evenly distributed.

  5. 5

Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto your prepared baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.

  6. 6

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are just barely golden brown.

  7. 7

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before moving them to a wire rack to finish cooling.

Tips

Store these cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days. You can also freeze the raw dough scoops for later, just add an extra minute to the baking time if cooking from frozen.
